This Week's AI Opportunities
From Google’s Gemini 3 and Antigravity to Meta’s 3D breakthrough, this week’s updates reveal where smart builders can win next.

Hey there,
There's been a lot of hype around this week's AI releases.
Google's new model, Meta's 3D tool, OpenAI's infrastructure announcement. Everyone's talking about benchmarks and capabilities.
But let’s look beyond the hype and see what really matters for us and where the opportunities are.
Google and Meta Both Shipped Major Releases
Google recently launched Gemini 3, and it's not just better than what came before. It has been getting lots of positive feedback and achieved:
#1 ranking on LMArena (1501 Elo)
91.9% on GPQA Diamond benchmarks
76.2% on SWE-bench Verified for coding
Deep Think mode hitting 41% on Humanity's Last Exam
But the real kicker? Google rolled out Antigravity, an agent-first IDE where AI writes, tests, and verifies code autonomously.
This is AI making decisions about your codebase without you checking every line.
Demis Hassabis literally said Gemini 3 shows "the fastest progress in the industry" and AGI is "5-10 years away".
Meta also released SAM 3D. It turns objects and scenes into full 3D models. Add a texture and characters are ready. This isn't flashy, but it solves a real problem for game developers and 3D artists.
The baseline for what's possible just shifted. If you're in gaming, 3D, code automation, or reasoning-heavy work, test these this week. The ones who figure out how to productize them first win.
Centralized Infrastructure is a Liability
When Cloudflare went down, half the internet went with it. ChatGPT went offline. Claude wasn’t working.
Just like this your entire AI product could be one outage away from going dark. One policy change. One acquisition.
People running local AI stayed online.
So, if you're building something that needs reliability, or if you want to avoid API dependence, local models are no longer a compromise; they're a strategic advantage.
This is where the smart money is moving.
OpenAI Just Bet $1.4T On One Thing
OpenAI is projecting $13B in revenue this year. By 2027, they claim $100B.
They signed an $1.4T infrastructure deal over eight years. That's 107 times their current revenue. OpenAI is betting everything on exponential growth.
Sam Altman's response when asked how they'll pay for it? "We make a lot more money than you know. Don't like it? We'll find someone else to buy our shares."
This signals where capital and focus are flowing. If OpenAI is confident enough to make a $1.4T bet, there's real conviction behind this. But it also means the AI landscape is about to consolidate hard.
What This Means For You
If you're working on an AI product: Try out Gemini 3 and Antigravity. If you're doing code generation, automation, or reasoning work, these are 10x better than what you're using now. The question isn't whether to switch, it's how fast you can migrate without breaking your product.
If you're worried about uptime: Start running Qwen 2.5 locally. It's competitive right now. Even if you keep your API integrations, having a local fallback means your product doesn't go dark when OpenAI has an outage.
If you have developer resources: Google rolled out an agent-first IDE. This means your team can either build agents into your product (complex but powerful) or start using agents to accelerate your own development. Both are happening right now.
Reply and let me know your thoughts on all of this. I genuinely want to know what problems you're solving in this new space.
