• Explainer content generated with realistic narration. Let's be honest, AI models like Invideo were more talk, less wow content.

• Full-blown movies. I guess social media will take a hit now. Don't know if it'll be a good way or bad, but consumer fatigue will get real.

But here's what makes this truly fascinating: While Google is dropping breakthroughs almost daily, Apple is still struggling to even enter the race.

Apple's AI Crisis

While Google pushes forward, Apple is stumbling badly with its AI ambitions.

According to a Bloomberg investigation, Apple's attempt to quickly integrate AI into Siri has led to a full-blown crisis. Internal sources reveal technical failures, leadership issues, and plummeting morale on the Siri team.

The most shocking part? Apple's full Siri update may be delayed until 2026, with the company now planning to allow third-party assistants to replace Siri in the EU.

Perplexity Is Coming Up With A New Browser

Speaking of startups challenging giants, Perplexity is about to launch something potentially game-changing.

CEO Aravind Srinivas announced their agentic browser 'Comet' is coming in the next 3-5 weeks.

What makes Comet interesting isn't just that it's a browser, but that it's built for an AI agency from the ground up.

It'll include native virtual meeting recording, transcription, and search capabilities (though not in the initial release).

The question is: will users adopt yet another browser? Or is this the beginning of every tool becoming AI-native?

AI Is Finally Taking Over Humans

Recent research from Francesco Salvi at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology reveals that AI can now outperform humans in debates and persuasion.

More disturbing? AI becomes even more persuasive when armed with personal information like age, gender, ethnicity, and political views.

As Salvi warns, this could enable 'armies of bots microtargeting undecided voters with tailored political narratives that feel authentic.'

The study found AI was most effective at shifting opinions on topics people didn't have strong views on yet.

This has serious implications:

1. The undecided middle becomes exceptionally vulnerable to AI persuasion 

2. The more personal data available, the more effective the persuasion 

3. AI's analytical style makes its arguments feel particularly crafted for individuals
